Level 4 Licentiateship in Youth Leadership & Training
The Level 4 Licentiateship in Youth Leadership & Training is a way of getting a qualification for your professional and technical expertise within the Cadet Forces.
The qualification is equivalent to a foundation degree, and you’ll be able to use the letters LCGI after your name (it stands for Licentiate City & Guilds Institute).
To gain the qualification you’ll have to write some reports based on your experience, with the input of your CO/OC.
Can I apply?
You can apply if you’ve been:
An adult instructor in the Cadet Forces for at least five years and reached the rank of Sgt or PO
In the Armed Forces or a Reservist and you have at least a year’s experience in the Cadet Forces and have previously held a commission or been a Sergeant or equivalent.
A Civilian Instructor for at least five years’ experience in the Cadet Forces. Applications will be treated on a case by case basis, with eligibility based around prior experience.
