Level 7 Membership in Strategic Youth Management
The Level 7 Membership in Strategic Youth Management is significant recognition of strategic management skills that you have demonstrated over 10 or more years in the Cadet Forces, or in an Armed Forces role.
This qualification is the equivalent of a Master’s Degree and entitles you to use the letters MCGI (Member City & Guilds Institute) after your name.
We subsidise the cost of the qualification, and you can pay the rest of the fees in instalments.
Can I apply?
The qualification is for people in a senior management role, and you can apply if you’ve been:
An adult instructor in the Cadet Forces for at least 10 years and are a Contingent Commander, Major, Sqn Ldr, Lt Cdr, or Lt with DO role or WO1
In the Armed Forces or a Reservist and you have at least a year’s experience in the Cadet Forces and have previously been Major or Warrant Officer Class One or above.
A Civilian Instructor for at least ten years’ experience in the Cadet Forces. Applications will be treated on a case by case basis, with eligibility based around prior experience.
