Peter Webb |

Peter taught English and coached sport at Shiplake College from 1977-2004 and was commissioned in 1977. He was Contingent Commander from 1990-2004, a member of the CCFA Executive and Chairman of Ox, Bucks and Berks CCF. From 1977-2004 he was involved with the D of E Award and was i/c the Operating Authority 1990-2004. He joined CVQO as an Operations Manager in September 2004. In 2006, he was appointed Commandant of The Royal County of Berkshire ACF. Peter’s other interests are: skiing, rugby and amateur dramatics.

Tara Young

Born in 1983, Tara has two young boys aged 7 and 3 and has duel Swiss-British nationality. Tara also studied A-level PE, General Studies, ICT and German at college whilst being a member of Surrey ACF. In 2005, Tara moved to Kent ACF as a detachment instructor and company admin clerk for South East Reserve Forces & Cadet Association. Having been approached by a cadet wanting to take on the CVQO BTEC in Public Services, Tara soon became the VQO for Kent ACF where she currently holds a 100% Distinction pass rate. Tara holds a wealth of cadet force qualifications majoring in outdoor pursuits. Tara is currently working towards her Mountain Leaders and Single Pitch qualifications, and recently qualified as a Bronze & Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards Assessor. Since 2001, Tara has held many managerial positions which fully backs her ILM Level 3 in Leadership & Management.

Richard Allen

Richard was born in Kent and joined the Army as a musician in 1984. After training at the Guards Depot and attending Riding School with the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment he joined the Band of The Life Guards. He participated in 22 Queen’s Birthday Parades amongst many other State and Ceremonial occasions. A highlight was being part of the State Trumpet team that played fanfares in the Guildhall in front of over 40 Heads of State for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Banquet. He has travelled abroad widely; including a tour of duty with A Squadron, The Life Guards where he completed a free-fall parachute course.
He was principle clarinet for 10 years with The Life Guards and WO2 Band Corporal Major for his final four years before posting to the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall as a WO1, where he was responsible for recruiting musicians into the Army. His final year in the Army was spent as the Permanent Staff Admin Officer for the Band of The Royal Yeomanry. Richard continues to perform on his clarinet and is a member of The Life Guards Band Comrades Association Committee. He is interested in military history and is passionate about all things to do with the British countryside.
