Who can apply?
Anyone can apply. It does not matter if you are starting to think about becoming a team leader or whether you are at the peak of your career, as the membership grades are based on a mix of experience and qualifications from any recognised awarding body, so there is a grade to suit everyone at all stages of their career.
Your membership profile is determined by ILM which is decided upon receipt of your application and if serving Armed Forces personnel your current rank.

What is CPD?
CPD (Continual Professional Development) is the means by which members of professional associations maintain, improve and broaden their knowledge and skills and develop the personal qualities required in their professional lives.
Applying for ILM Membership
Interested in becoming a member? Want to know which Member grade you might qualify for? Then apply online direct with ILM or download an application form and return it to CVQO with the accompanying fee. CVQO will provide a promotional code forany online applications or will complete section 10 of the hardcopy form if you download the application.
The cost for becoming a Member of the Institute via the online Corporate Membership scheme is £75 by direct debit or £85 by credit card. This is a saving of £60 if you were to join without the discounted corporate rate. However, should you choose to send in your application by post your annual subscription will be £78 by direct debit or £85 by cheque. All cheques should be payable to ‘ILM’.
If you are applying for Fellowship you will need to provide additional information as set out in the notes on the application form. The Fellowship fee is also more expensive.
CVQO would coordinate your membership application with ILM, who upon receipt will write to you at your specified address detailing your membership grading, membership number and benefit entitlements.
