Marie was crowned the joint winner of the Best NCO in Charge Drill Squad award, and was also named both Best Female Cadet in the Wing and the Overall Best Cadet in the Wing.

The Squadron won the coveted CFS Challenge Cup for drill, and the drill team will now go on to represent South and East Midlands Wing at the Regional Wing Field Day competition later in the year.

Commanding officer Flt Lt Phil Bannister said: "The cadets have worked very hard over the past few months to ensure we would be in with a chance of winning and we came close to doing just that."
