CWO Abigail Bagshaw of 2415 (Penkridge) Sqn ATC is definitely on a high, having received 2 bits of good news in one week: She has not only been selected as Staffordshire Wing’s nomination for the Dacre Brooch – the award for the highest achieving female cadet in the ATC – but she is one the finalists in the Duke of Westminster Award competition and is off to the selection weekend in Somerset at the end of March.

Abigail’s glittering career in the ATC includes success in BTEC, Duke of Edinburgh Gold award, Air Cadet Pilot and Gliding Scholarship Wings, Corps Marksmanship, successful completion of the Nijmegen and WARMA marches. Abigail is also a Qualified Junior Leader and Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet for Staffordshire.

Flt Lt Vicky O’Dell, Wing VQ Officer was able to give Abigail the good news about the Dacre Brooch nomination during a visit by Clinton Riley, CVQO’s Head of Public Services.
