Welcome to CVQO

CVQO is a registered charity responsible for managing Vocational Qualifications for members of the Combined Cadet Force, Sea Cadet Corps, Army Cadet Force and Air Training Corps.

CVQO is dedicated to helping both cadets and instructors of the Cadet Forces get ahead personally and professionally. The qualifications on offer have been designed to show employers and educators the wide range of skills that young people and adults learn in the Cadet Forces.

Seven cadets from Walton on the Naze Unit SCC attended the Beating of the Retreat in London recently. The cadets were on carpet guard, and BTEC cadet POC Jay Watcham was responsible for the opening of Her Majesty the Queen’s car door.

Jay, who is also the London Area Naval Cadet of the Year, is currently working towards his BTEC First Diploma in Public Services, and has also completed the BTEC First Diploma in Engineering (Maintenance). When Jay has completed the BTEC in Public Services, he will have added an equivalent of 8 GCSEs to his other qualifications.
