Pilot Officer Kristina Pisano, of 241 Sqn, HQ London Wing ATC, has recently attended her Officers Initial Course at RAF College Cranwell, which equips junior officers with the tools to perform their role within the ATC and wider RAF.

BTEC cadet Luke Adams has been appointed as Cadet Warrant Officer, reaching the ultimate rank for any cadet. He has been with 1921 (Lewisham) Squadron for seven years, achieving a wide range of qualifications and appointments in that time (including CVQO’s BTEC First Diploma in Public Services, for which he gained a Merit grade, Silver DEA, Corps Marksman and camp experiences).

A big thank you to everyone who has sent in application forms for the next round of CVQO BTEC First Diplomas. They are arriving by the bag, and being processed as quickly as possibly by our Verifications team. However, a number of the applications are not legible, or are not filled out properly. As the documents are scanned, this can cause problems in processing a cadet’s registration. Could all VQ Officers please ensure that the applications are completed in BLOCK CAPITALS, in black ink preferably, and that all boxes are filled in, including tick boxes. This will reduce errors later on, and mean we are unlikely to contact VQOs and cadets later on to verify details. Keep the applications coming! Many thanks from CVQO.

This week at 2158 (Sevenoaks) Squadron, Cadet Flight Sergeant Sarah Duffey became the very first cadet on the squadron to achieve her BTEC qualification in Public Services, achieved through her participation and dedication to the Air Training Corps through her many years of membership.
