BTEC cadets from William Hulme’s Grammar School CCF are one step closer to completing their BTEC qualifications after completing a CVQO leadership course recently. The course was the final component needed to complete the BTEC First Diploma in Public Services for a number of the cadets participating. Some hadn’t had the opportunity to take part in an external leadership course and are coming to the end of their time at school.

  

Cadet Sergeant Major Warren Moore has become the first cadet at William Hulme’s Grammar School CCF to complete the CVQO BTEC First Diploma in Public Services, earning himself the highest grade possible of a Distinction Star

  

BTEC cadets from Durham ACF took part recently in the 13th Regional First Air Competition, held at Safety Works Ltd in Newcastle. Safety Works is a scenario based training centre with surroundings ideal for a first aid competition.

  

 Six sea cadets from Huyton Unit SCC joined their affiliated ship, HMS IRON DUKE, on a journey from Scotland to Hull recently. The cadets were given a great insight into life in the Royal Navy, and enhanced their unit training with firsthand experience of working on a ship.
