 Amanda Barnard began her cadet career in 1986, and attained the rank of Flight Sergeant before leaving to join the RAF as an Intelligence Analyst. After leaving due to injury, she began a new career as a PA and secretary and rejoined the ATC first as a Civilian Instructor, then as a Commissioned Officer.

  

 Carl Williamson began a career in the Royal Navy with just a handful of GCSEs. After leaving service, Carl joined the Sea Cadet Corps, unaware of the opportunities available to him with regards to education and adult learning. Carl was recently one of the first learners to complete the ILM Level 5 Award in Leadership with CVQO.

  

 CVQO Chief Executive Edward Woods paid a trip to Trinidad recently to discuss forthcoming CVQO projects overseas with Capt Dr Wallace Williams, International Liaison Officer of the Trinidad & Tobago Cadet Force and CVQO UK.

  

Thomas Palmer has been with the Army Cadet Force for almost twenty years, and he believes that most of his professional and personal success is owed to the organisation and the awards and qualifications it offers. Thomas has recently completed the City & Guilds Graduateship Award in Youth Management and Training with CVQO.
