Accessibility
The CVQO website is designed to be as accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.
We aim to meet the highest level of accessibility set out in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. Where we do not currently meet the guidelines we are working towards them to make our web content more user friendly for all people.
The website has been built using code that complies with W3C standards for HTML and CSS. At the time of this statement the website is fully functional and compliant with all modern browsers.

Changing the text size
Using the browser
To increase or decrease the text size using your browser, use the appropriate option in your browser:
Internet Explorer
- Click on Tools button and click Page > Text Size
- Windows shortcut: Ctrl and + together
Firefox
- Click on the View menu button > Zoom
- Windows shortcut: Ctrl and + together
- Mac shortcut: Command and + together
Safari
- Click on the View menu button > Zoom In
- Mac shortcut: Command and + together
Chrome
- Click on the Spanner Icon > Zoom
- Windows shortcut: Ctrl and + together
- Mac shortcut: Command and + together
Opera
- Click on the View menu button > Zoom
- Windows shortcut: Ctrl and + together

Changing the colour of text and page background
Using the browser
If you use Firefox or Opera as your browser, you can view the site in a Low Graphics layout by changing the page style in your browser.
- Mozilla Firefox: go to View > Page Style > No style
- Opera: go to View > Style > User Mode
Internet Explorer: From the Tools menu:
- select Internet Options
- Click the Colors button
- Unticking the ‘Use windows colors’ box will allow you to select your preferred options
Firefox: From the Preferences menu,
- Select Content
- Click the Colours button
- Select your preferred options
Safari: From the Preferences menu:]
- Click Appearance and select your preferred options
Opera: There are many ways to customise your settings – visit the Opera website for advice
Chrome: To change the background colours when using Google Chrome it is necessary to install a plug in. A number of accessibility plug ins are available in the Google Chrome webstore
Documents
We host PDFs and other files types on the CVQO website. Most computers will have the software already installed that is required to open these files but if not it can be downloaded for free here.
