This week CVQO were invited to provide a stand at Youth Scotland’s Awards Network Parliamentary Reception. The event was intended to recognise the contribution that youth awards make to young people’s education, achievement and attainment in Scotland.
We were accompanied by two learners who had gained qualifications from CVQO – Jacob Black, a CFAV, and Emma Grove, a senior cadet, both from Dunfermline Detachment ACF.
The event was sponsored by Jenny Gilruth, MSP for Mid Fife & Glenrothes, who met and congratulated all of the young people present – including our learners.
Both talked with great enthusiasm about the many benefits that the ACF in Scotland, in partnership with CVQO, provide to young people. They were very positive about the benefits of not only this but the value of all CVQO-led qualifications.
The cadets also spoke with Shirley-Anne Somerville, Minister for Further Education, Higher Education and Science, and MSP for Dunfermline.
All in all a fantastic event and extremely encouraging to showcase the brilliant achievements of young people in Scotland.
