Cadet RSM Robbie Jackson - BTEC Level 2 in Teamwork and Personal Development in the Community

Cadet RSM Robbie Jackson, of the Royal County of Berkshire ACF, was recently named the Army Cadet Forces Champion Cadet after a very close competition at the Cadet Training Centre, Frimley Park.

The presentation of the Claire Shore Trophy was made to him by Brigadier SJ Banton OBE (late MERCIAN), Chief of Staff of the Army’s Regional Command.

Robbie has picked up an impressive portfolio including completing his BTEC Level 2 in Teamwork and Personal Development in the Community in 2017 with CVQO.

"The CVQO-led BTEC Level 2 has helped me to understand teamwork and I can now easily asses and encourage team cohesion.

"In future, this will aid my ability to be a team member or leader. I am currently attending Reading College studying Uniformed Public Services Level 3.

"Completion of the qualification has strengthened my CV and will hopefully contribute to me having a successful career.

"After leaving cadets and Reading College I hope to join the Fire and Rescue Service. Using my experience in the Army Cadet Force I would also like to join the Army Reserve, and once comfortable, become a Cadet Force Adult Volunteer."
